Living, as I do, in North London, I've given workshops and readings in a number of local schools, most notably St Mary's C of E Primary school in Finchley Central. Recently, I was invited to Farleigh School in Hampshire, where I worked with two separate groups spanning the 7-12 year age groups. I also held sessions at schools in Northumberland, as part of the Northern Childrens' Book Festival.

I'm happy to take occasional bookings from schools in and around Falmouth, Cornwall, where my daughter lives with her children.
THE ENCHANTED VILLAGE involved the children and staff from the village school at Constantine, where we eventually held the book launch.

A session usually starts with an introductory chat, followed by a reading. Sometimes I share proofs and roughs of prospective illustrations, and we all discuss them. We then play writing games, which often stimulate some amazing work! I finish with a question time, and, if I've brought along books for sale I always dedicate each book to its buyer.

My fees are at the scale currently approved by the Society of Authors.
